Updates

Hello all. I hope everyone had/is having excellent holidays. I wanted to take a moment to give you guys some quick updates: bra, loungewear and videogame related!

And here they are on my feet! Thank you Fiancee 🙂

I got the most fantastic slippers ever for Christmas. They have only really come off my feet to sleep, other than that I live in them.

In bra related news, a while ago at a fitting (when I purchased my Fortnight Mira bra) I tried on the Cleo Lucy in black. I had veered away from this style in the past because of the partial band construction, but I found it very comfortable and the shape was killer (round, but not as round as Marcie so more up my alley). I decided that with some of my Christmas money I would invest in a black and white Lucy to add to my basics bra wardrobe. Plus, I’ve wanted a white bra for a long time so I’m especially excited for this purchase despite it being pretty basic/practical. So today I ordered both bras in a 28G. I’m very thankful that I was able to try Lucy on before purchasing it, because I definitely would have bought 28FFs had I not known better.

In video game related news, I finished replaying Shadow of the Colossus. I played it quite a few years ago (probably about six years or something) and had forgotten a lot of what happens at the end, what the colossi actually are, etc. It’s such a beautiful game. I’m excited to give Ico a shot whenever I get my hands on it. Shadow is kind of the “spiritual prequel” to Ico. They’re linked, but Ico isn’t a direct sequel. I’ll likely get the PS3 high definition remake collection that includes both games. Apparently the update did great things for Ico (which was older than Shadow), and I certainly wouldn’t mind an updated version of Shadow! Though really, I think Shadow is one of those games that could benefit from a full remake for the PS3, not just an HD update. It is visually gorgeous, but sometimes the textures look quite choppy when you get close up since it’s pushing the PS2’s hardware to the limit. The controls were also finicky from time to time, and I feel that could be fixed in an update to alleviate some of the frustration with Wander (the protagonist in Shadow) not always following your command ( failing to climb parts of a colossus for no apparent reason, perhaps getting stuck on invisible corners or something, failing to mount your horse, Agro, and instead jumping beside him, or the camera misbehaving at critical moments). All in all I love this game though, and it will probably move up a couple spots on my favourite games list.

A picture of my favourite Colossus, which the internet has named Phalanx. Apparently the Colossi are actually nameless though.
