Ewa Michalak PL Lilia Reviewed… Kind of
Hi everyone! So as the title suggests this is only “kind of” a review. The reason for this being that I’m not sure if my PL Lilia is a defect or not. I was under the impression that PL Lilia and PL Onyks were essentially the same bra, the Onyks in black and the Lilia in white. But the fit of the Lilia is completely different.
First of all, the band is INSANELY tight. I can’t even put the bra on without an extender, and I need two to wear it comfortably (though two extenders certainly is not a secure, comfortable feeling). Secondly, the cups are huge on me. All my other PLs have fit small, but these cups seemed more like a true to size 28G, perhaps fitting a bit large. The bra itself is quite beautiful, but definitely a bit too shiny for my taste. It does not look like a “gaudy” shiny, but it does scream “bridal” to me. Not a look I’m crazy about! Though the transparent band featuring white polkadots is truly adorable.
This bra comes with the same set of straps as the Onyks: comfort straps, a halter strap, and a set of normal fully adjustable straps. It closes with three sets of two hook and eye closures.
If you’re interested in purchasing this bra I would head over to Obsessed With Breasts review of the PL Lilia, as I think is it more reliable.
So this ends my giant Ewa Michalak review week. Hope it was helpful and enjoyable! I learned that I actually quite like the shape the CHP gives me, and I can’t wait to give their HP and upcoming S styles a try.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the center gore dug in quite badly on me in this style. It felt as though the wires were literally pointing toward toward my sternum at the center, that’s the best way I can explain it anyway. I think this contributed to the cups shooting outward away from my body. It’s difficult to explain exactly how that makes sense, but when you actually have the bra on, it seems to make perfect sense shape-wise.
Thanks for referencing my review here! I’m a little sad the fit was SO off on you because since it’s the only EM bra I’ve tried I was hoping to use your reviews to compare to se what size I might need in other styles! It does look the same as PL Onyx, but where the Onyx band runs a little loose (I’ve heard), I think the Lillia does run a little firm (mine measured 27.5″ pulling as hard as I could basically haha). Does the Onyx have the same patterned band as the Lillia?
As far as the cups go, it was hard for me to tell how they ran because my boobs are just out of control lately! They’re growing so quickly I can never tell if a bra runs small or if its just my ever expanding bosoms :p For real though my Bratabase boob perimeter measurement has gone up over an inch since May with no weight gain. It makes bra shopping quite the ordeal.
Ah! Okay, my PL Lilia only measures 23.5 inches fully stretched! Perhaps I could’ve gotten it to 24 inches, but I was already pulling really hard. This pretty much confirms for me that it was sewn much too small. Thanks for the measurement! I do wonder about the cups though, too bad we can’t really confirm much about them.
And looking at my Onyks, no, they don’t have the same pattern on the band.
thanks for your reviews. I’m thinking of ordering EM bras too. Your reviews will help me determine my EwaM size, since I think I’m the same size as you. you mention you are 26″ under-breast measurement. If you don’t mind my asking: what size are you across your chest? I’m 31-1/2″ and bottom heavy shaped breasts too. I usually get 28F, but only have experience with panache and Cleo.
Hi Lisa! My under bust measurement is more like 25 measured tightly (a more comfy measurement is 26 for me though) and my overbust is between 32 and 33 inches. It sounds like in PLs you could use a 26G-28FF, and in half cups a 26FF-28F since that’s a cup size down from what I wear, and you measure a bit smaller than me. I’m not an expert though, and this idea relies on both our measurements being very accurate. Sometimes boobs are just crazy too and don’t perfectly co-operate with our measurements! So I hope this advice helps but I can’t speak to it being 100% accurate.
